Accounting for Kids – Cincinnati Volunteer Event
November 5, 2015
Clark Schaefer Consulting associates continues to sponsor local Cincinnati school through Accounting for Kids, Inc. Clark Schaefer Consulting led three teams for this year’s event.
Accounting for Kids, Inc. is a not for profit organization that serves children. Accounting For Kids, Inc. partners with local school districts in the effort to build self esteem by introducing financial literacy concepts to children in a fun and interactive manner. Accounting for Kids Day works to inspire the professional community to consider becoming mentors and/or tutors to at-risk youth.
Accounting for Kids Day is a financial literacy initiative offering CPAs and other professionals the opportunity to give back to their communities by volunteering to help students at local schools understand the fundamental concepts of finance, accounting and economics. In just a few hours of time, volunteers can make a big difference in the lives of students.
Each team strived to involve more students in learning about financial education by playing the FETCH!® Game (Financial Education Teaches Children Healthy Habits) that was created and is owned by the Ohio CPA Foundation, the charitable affiliate of The Ohio Society of CPAs. CSC enjoyed working with the kids as they discovered the exciting world of dog ownership and accounting.
